Hard chrome bar is a chromium-plated steel product used primarily as piston rod material in all standard applications in hydraulics and pneumatics.
Base Material Bar made to AS1444 and AS1443 or equivalent.
AISI 1045 Medium Carbon Steel, with a typical tensile strength range of 600 to 800MPa, and a hard chrome plated surface of over 900HV, offering medium strength, excellent wear and corrosion resistance
AISI medium carbon steel with a UTS of 600 to 800MPa and an induction hardened case of 55-60 HRC, plus a hard chrome plated surface of over 900HV, giving excellent wear corrosion resistance
